What this is

Free Online Signature is a simple tool for making a clean image of your signature. Draw it with your finger, mouse, or stylus; type your name and pick a handwriting style; or take a photo of your signature on paper and let the tool remove the background. Then download it as a transparent PNG or a JPG.

Free, with no sign-up

There is no account, no email wall, no watermark, no premium tier, and no limit on how many signatures you make. The site is kept free by a small number of ads, placed well away from the tool.

Your signature never leaves your device

Everything happens in your browser. Your drawing, typed name, and uploaded photo are never sent to a server, and nothing is saved after you leave the page. The site only loads the page itself, its fonts, and any ads or analytics; none of that ever includes your signature.

What it is not

This site creates a signature image. It does not sign documents and it is not a legally binding e-signature service. See the Disclaimer for more.

Font credits

The handwriting styles on the Type tab use these open-source fonts, self-hosted on this site under their licenses. Thank you to their designers.
