Your signature will appear here
PNG looks black in your phone's gallery? That's the transparent background — the signature is there and will show on any document.
Need it really big? SVG stays perfectly sharp at any size, for large prints and design apps like Canva or Illustrator. For documents, use PNG.

Not comfortable drawing with a finger or mouse? A typed signature gives you a neat, consistent result in seconds. Type your name once and see it written in every handwriting style at the same time, so you can compare them side by side instead of trying fonts one by one.
Thirteen styles are shown straight away, and More styles adds eight more. They range from formal scripts with long, elegant loops to fast, slanted styles that look like a quick pen signature. Pick one and the page takes you straight to the preview and download buttons.
Every style is an open-source font, free to use, and the signature is drawn at high resolution, so it stays crisp in documents and in print. The download is cropped tightly around your name, with a transparent background in the PNG or plain white in the JPG.
Tips for a typed signature that looks real
Type it the way you sign: many people sign with a first initial and surname, or only their first name. Shorter text looks more natural, because long names shrink to fit.
Choose a quick style for realism: slanted, casual styles look most like a real pen signature; formal scripts look more like calligraphy.
Accents and other alphabets: if a style says it can’t show some letters, pick another one. For names in scripts like Devanagari or Arabic, use the draw tool or a photo of your signature instead.
Private by design: your name is turned into a signature in your browser and never sent anywhere. More help is in our typing guide.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a signature from my name?
Type your name in the Your name box first, and every handwriting style updates to show it. Tap the style you like, pick an ink color, and download it as a transparent PNG.
How many signature fonts are there?
There are 21 handwriting styles. Thirteen are shown straight away, and tapping More styles adds eight more, from formal calligraphy to quick, casual pen strokes.
Why does a style say it can’t show some letters in my name?
That font does not include one of the letters in your name, usually a less common accented letter such as ł, ř or ő. Every style handles everyday accents like é, ü and ñ. Pick any style that shows your name correctly.
Can I type a signature in Hindi, Nepali, Arabic, or Chinese?
Not with the typed styles, which support Latin letters only. Draw your signature instead, or take a photo of your signature on paper and use the Upload tab.
Which style looks most like a real signature?
Quick, slanted styles such as Mr Dafoe, Herr Von Muellerhoff, Kristi, and Zeyada tend to look the most like a real pen signature. Formal scripts like Great Vibes or Pinyon Script look more like calligraphy.
Should I type my full name?
Type it the way you actually sign. Many people sign with a first initial and surname, or only their first name. Shorter text also looks more natural, because long names shrink to fit.
Can I change the color of my typed signature?
Yes. Choose black, blue, dark blue, or any custom color. Every style preview and the download change color instantly.
Are the signature fonts free to use?
Yes. Every style is an open-source font under the SIL Open Font License or the Apache License, and the signature images you download are yours to use. The fonts and their designers are credited on our About page.
Is my name sent anywhere?
No. Your name is turned into a signature inside your browser and is never sent to a server. Nothing is saved after you leave the page.
Is a typed signature legally binding?
This tool creates an image of a signature. It is not an electronic signature service and does not make a document legally binding. Whether a typed signature image is accepted depends on the document and the law where you are.
